Description of the manufacturer/producer:
Damiana (turnera diffusa, turnera aphrodisica, turnera ulmifolia), also known as damiana or damiana herb, is a medicinal herb that belongs to the genus of saffron mallow (turneraceae) and is mainly native to Mexico, but also to the tropical regions of South America and southern California. The shrub can reach a height of up to two meters.
Damiana stimulates the circulation, activates the metabolism and circulates the blood. All organs are better supplied with blood, which may explain the increased libido and performance. Although it has a muscle-relaxing effect, it is often recommended as a remedy for tiredness, exhaustion or overexertion.
The herb is also traditionally used for infectious diseases that affect the respiratory and digestive systems. Damiana is also effective for diseases of the male and female reproductive organs and as a tonic against mental and physical symptoms of weakness. This area of application is particularly important in homeopathy and phytotherapy. In homeopathy, the plant counteracts these signs of illness:
- Declining performance
- Mental and physical exhaustion
- Menstrual disorders
- sexual weakness
