Jerusalem thorn (Parkinsonia aculeata) - Seeds

Growing instructions:

Parkinsonia seeds (Dark germinator) can be grown without any problems. The seeds must be doused with hot water before being pre-soaked in water for approx. 24 hours.

Fill the pots with potting compost, spray with water, place the seeds approx. 1 cm deep in the soil (e.g. cactus soil) and spray with water. It is best to cover the seed pots with plastic foil and air them daily or keep the soil moist, but not wet. Otherwise, the pots can also be placed in suitable propagators until the seeds have germinated and the seedlings are a few centimetres tall. It is important to ensure a supply of fresh air at least once a day to prevent and avoid mold.

Growing on the windowsill is also possible! It is important not to let the seeds dry out, otherwise they may lose germination quality.

After the seeds have germinated, the seedlings can be slowly acclimatized to drier indoor air or fresh air outdoors after a few weeks. It is important that the plants always receive sufficient light
